Momtaz arrested in murder case, police will seek 7-day remand

Mirpur Model Police Station has arrested former Awami League MP (MP) singer Momtaz Begum in a murder case during the anti-discrimination student movement. The police will apply to the court for her seven-day remand.

DMP Deputy Commissioner of Police (DC) Muhammad Talebur Rahman confirmed this information on Tuesday (May 13). He said that Momtaz Begum is an accused in a murder case at Mirpur Model Police Station. She will be handed over to the court after applying for remand.

According to Mirpur Police Station sources, an application will be made to the court for a seven-day remand for Momtaz Begum.
