Warning of very heavy rainfall in 3 divisions

The Meteorological Office has issued a warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall in three divisions of the country in the next 72 hours.

This information was given in a heavy rainfall warning signed by Meteorologist Kh. Hafizur Rahman on Sunday (May 18).

The warning states that due to active circulating clouds, heavy (44-88 mm/24 hours) to very heavy (more than 88 mm/24 hours) rainfall may occur in some places in Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions in the next 72 hours from 6 pm today (May 18).

Meanwhile, in the next 24 hours, there may be temporary gusty winds and lightning/rain/thunderstorm in some places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and one or two places in Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions. Moderate to heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places in Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions.

During this time, daytime temperatures may slightly decrease across the country and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged.
