    Nephew hacked to death in Rajshahi: Uncle arrested in Dhaka

    Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested uncle Rabiul Islam alias Rubel in the case of hacking his nephew to death with a razor in Godagari, Rajshahi.

    He was arrested in a drive in Bashundhara residential area of ​​​​the capital on Saturday (May 17) afternoon.

    Rabiul was handed over to Godagari police station on Sunday (May 18). It is learned that the police will send him to jail through the court.

    Arrested Rabiul Islam is the son of the deceased Tahsan Mahuri of Achuavata village in Godagari upazila.

    The deceased Kausar Ahmed Rocky (25) is his nephew.

    In a press release on Sunday (May 18) morning, RAB said that on April 1, Rabiul went to his father’s house in Achuavata village in Godagari to visit his ailing grandmother. At that time, he had an argument with his nephew Kausar Ahmed due to a previous enmity. At one stage, Rabiul brought a sharp razor and hit Kausar. He was seriously injured. Later, he died on the way to the hospital. A murder case was registered at the police station in this incident.

    After the case, RAB-5 started a shadow investigation of the incident and increased detective surveillance to identify the location of the accused. Following this, Rabiul was arrested from the Bashundhara residential area of ​​Dhaka.

    RAB further said that it was not possible to arrest the accused Rabiul as he was hiding in different parts of the country. His location was confirmed with the help of technology and he was arrested.

    Ruhul Amin, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Godagari Police Station, said that Kausar died from the blow of his uncle Rabiul’s razor. The accused is being brought from Dhaka. He will be handed over to the court today.
