There must be a conspiracy over the election roadmap: Nazrul Islam
There is no obstacle to holding the election by December. However, BNP standing committee member Nazrul Islam Khan has questioned whether they are taking time to secretly form an alliance by delaying it.
He made this comment at a discussion meeting of the 12-party alliance at the Press Club on Monday (May 19).
He said, “Many are trying to spread the falsehood that the BNP is trying to rehabilitate the Awami League. However, there is no compromise with the Awami League and even if someone tries to compromise, it will be stopped.”
BNP standing committee member Nazrul Islam Khan joined the discussion meeting of the 12-party alliance demanding the removal of obstacles to the election and Tarique Rahman’s return to his homeland.
At the time, he urged the interim government to prepare a charter based on the issues on which the political parties have reached consensus and organize quick elections.
In addition, Nazrul Islam Khan also questioned whether time is being taken to form an alliance by delaying it if there is no obstacle to holding the election by December.
Meanwhile, at a separate event at the Press Club, BNP Chairperson’s advisor Zainul Abdin Faruk said regarding the corridor, “The humanitarian corridor issue in Rakhine is an international conspiracy. Only Parliament will decide on it.”
The party leaders also claimed that there is definitely a conspiracy going on regarding the electoral roadmap and that the interim government has not been given the responsibility to organize by giving someone new a chance.
