There are legal complications regarding Ishraq’s oath: Advisor Asif

There are many legal problems and complications related to the term of office regarding Ishraq Hossain’s oath as mayor. Local Government Advisor Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan said that no decision can be taken until the complications are resolved.

He said this after signing a memorandum of understanding with UNFPA at the National Sports Council on Monday (May 19) afternoon.

Stating that there are several complications related to the term of office in the appointment of DNCC mayor, the advisor said that the agitators must keep in mind the public suffering. At this time, he called on the agitators to be patient to resolve the suffering of the city residents.

Regarding the Bangladesh cricket team’s tour of Pakistan, he said that contact is being made with the Pakistan Embassy to ensure that the game is not played in any stadium near the border and to ensure maximum security.

At this time, he also talked about the BCB elections. He said that there are complications in this regard. Those solutions are not possible in a short time.
