UK-France-Canada warn of sanctions on Israel

The UK, France and Canada, three influential countries, have warned of sanctions on Israel if it does not immediately stop the newly launched military operation in Gaza. Qatar-based media outlet Al Jazeera reported this information in a report on Tuesday (May 20).

The report said that the three countries have threatened to take strict action against Tel Aviv if the restrictions imposed on aid to the Gaza Strip are not lifted. The states issued a joint statement in this regard on Monday (May 19) local time.

The statement demanded an immediate end to the aggression in Gaza. It also called for allowing sufficient humanitarian aid to enter the Strip, condemning the decision to restrict aid entry.
