Extortion demand: One expelled from BNP, one given show cause notice

A BNP leader has been expelled and a leader has been given show cause notice for immoral activities including demanding donations.

This information was revealed in a press release signed by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Wednesday (May 21).

The press release said that for violating party discipline including demanding donations and immoral activities against the party’s policy, ideology and solidarity, former joint convener of Rajpara police station BNP under Rajshahi metropolis Md. Rabiul Alam has been expelled from all levels of BNP, including primary membership.

In addition, a show cause notice has been given to Bagerhat District BN Convener Committee member Kazi Khairuzzaman Shipon on charges of immoral activities including demanding donations.
