Eat bread and live in peace, otherwise I have bullets: Modi
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday (May 26) local time gave a stern warning to the people of Pakistan with a direct message. He said in a rather warning tone, ‘Eat bread and live in peace, otherwise I have bullets.’ In a report, the country’s media outlets Economic Times and NDTV News reported this information.
He said that only the people of Pakistan can free the country from this disease of terrorism. I want to ask the people of Pakistan — what have you achieved through terrorism? India is now the fourth largest economy in the world. Where are you (Pakistan)?
Addressing a rally in Gujarat, Prime Minister Modi said, ‘The people of Pakistan must come forward to free Pakistan from the disease of terrorism. Their youth must come forward.’
‘In 1971, Pakistan attacked Bhuj airbase and our women repaired the runway in just 72 hours. Pakistan’s response was so strong that all their airbases are still in ICU and that’s when Pakistan was forced to surrender,’ Modi said.
Along with his remarks, the country’s External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said that terrorism in Pakistan is an ‘open business’, funded, organised and used by the state and the army.
Earlier, while addressing a rally in Dahod, Gujarat, Prime Minister Modi gave a stern warning against terrorism, citing the example of ‘Operation Sindh’ (targeted strikes on terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir) conducted by the army in response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22.
