BNP, the guarantee of democracy: Rizvi
BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said that the exceptional period of the Awami League was the period of BNP. During the BNP period, anyone had the freedom to express their opinion of any political party.
He said these things while distributing BNP Eid gifts among low-income people on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha on Tuesday.
He said that BNP is the guarantee of democracy. BNP is the party that guarantees people two handfuls of food. BNP is also the one that opposes turning a blind eye to the independence and sovereignty of this country.
The Eid gifts were distributed by BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman to wish BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia good health and long life.
Central Jubo Dal Organizing Secretary Kamruzzaman Jewel, Swechchhasebak Dal Vice President Dr. Zahidul Kabir and Central Chhatra Dal Vice President Touhidur Rahman Awal were present at the Eid gift ceremony.
Rizvi said, Martyr President Ziaur Rahman is a leader. Just as a shepherd has to travel between paddy fields and different villages, similarly, Martyr President Ziaur Rahman walks for miles, realizing the plight of the people. Realizing this, he gave such programs, and from that, the people named him Rakhal Raja.
He said, if a person is personally honest, dynamic, and agile, then it is possible to change the fate of a nation in a short time. Which Ziaur Rahman did. He came to power amidst a political and economic crisis.
He said, seeing hunger and poverty, Ziaur Rahman realized how to increase food production and fish production. For this, he cut canals across the country. He arranged loans for farmers from banks at low interest rates. By taking such steps, he put the entire nation on a solid foundation, and that is why he is respected by the people.
