Saudi Arabia condemns attack on Iran, Prince Salman-Pezeshkian phone call
Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman had a phone call with Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian. At that time, the Saudi crown prince condemned the Israeli attack on Iran. Arab News reported.
According to a report published on Sunday (June 15), the Saudi crown prince condemned the Israeli attack on Iran and said that this attack undermined Iran’s sovereignty and security. It violated international laws and customs.
He also said that the Israeli attack has disrupted the ongoing dialogue around Iran’s nuclear program. It has hindered the reduction of tensions and a diplomatic solution. In the phone call, Salman emphasized the cessation of the use of force to resolve disputes and dialogue as the basis for resolving differences.
On the other hand, Masoud Pezeshkian told Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, “Since taking office as president, I have tried to strengthen peace, stability and security in the region. But the Zionist government (Israel) has created disruption and sabotage in every area where we wanted to achieve something.” It is worth noting that Iran and Saudi Arabia announced the resumption of diplomatic relations in 2023. Since then, relations between the two countries have started to cool.
