National Security Advisor meets US Deputy Secretary of State

Bangladesh National Security Advisor Dr. Khalilur Rahman met with Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau at the US Department of State.

The meeting was held in Washington DC, USA on Wednesday (June 18). During this time, the Rohingya crisis, the ongoing tariff negotiations between the two countries, the recent situation in South Asia and the democratic transformation of Bangladesh were discussed.

In the meeting, Christopher Landau praised the leadership of Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Advisor to the Interim Government of Bangladesh. In addition, he assured the continued support of the United States to Bangladesh.

Later, Dr. Khalilur Rahman met with US Assistant Trade Representative Brendan Lynch. In this, fruitful discussions were held on the mutual tariff agreement between the two countries.
