Israel attacks Iran’s ‘Arak Heavy Water Reactor’

Israel has attacked an Iranian nuclear facility called the ‘Arak Heavy Water Reactor’.

The news agency Reuters reported this, citing Iranian media.

The Israeli army had previously threatened that residents of the area around the reactor should immediately leave the area.

Analysts say that the attack indicates that the ongoing Israeli-Iranian tensions are reaching a serious level.

Meanwhile, several explosions were heard in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv shortly after a new fleet of Iranian missiles were launched at Israel on Thursday morning (June 19).

Al Jazeera reported that an ‘air alert’ was issued in central and northern Israel after the attack.

Local media reported that Iranian missiles hit at least four locations in Israel. Among them, Soroka Hospital in Be’er Sheva in southern Israel was reported to have suffered extensive damage.

There were also reports of missile strikes in Tel Aviv and Ramat Gan in the east and in Holon in the south.
