    125 members replaced in UN peacekeeping mission leave Dhaka

    A total of 125 members of the contingent deployed in the UN peacekeeping mission in the Central African Republic have been replaced by the Bangladesh Air Force.

    They left Dhaka for the country on a UN chartered aircraft (Ethiopian Airlines) at Shahjalal Airport on Thursday (June 19) morning. Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Administration) Air Vice Marshal Rusad Din Ashad bid them farewell.

    At this time, prayers were offered at the airport, wishing that the peacekeepers may achieve greater excellence in the future. This Armed Military Utility Helicopter Unit of the Air Force will be led by Air Commodore Imranur Rahman.

    Earlier, last Monday, Air Chief Marshal Hassan Mahmud Khan, Chief of Air Staff, gave a directional speech to them. At this time, he also called on the contingent members to perform their duties in the mission with honesty and professionalism.
