Attack on Iran a crime against humanity: North Korea
Describing Israel’s recent attack on Iran as a crime against humanity, North Korea said that such behavior by Israel is a serious violation of Iran’s sovereignty and a crime against humanity.
In a statement published on the North Korean state news agency KCCNA on Wednesday (June 18), a spokesman for the country’s Foreign Ministry made these remarks while strongly condemning Israel’s attack on Iran.
The spokesman said that North Korea expresses deep concern over and strongly condemns Israel’s military attack. The killing of civilians by Israel in Iran is an unforgivable crime against humanity.
The statement noted that this illegal act of state-sponsored terrorist attacks poses a risk of escalating the situation into a new all-out war in the Middle East.
It is also said that the serious situation that the world is going through today makes it clear that Israel, under the patronage of the United States and Western powers, is a cancer-like entity for the Middle East and a major threat to global peace and security. Incidentally, on June 13, Israel launched a series of missile attacks on Iran’s nuclear, military and residential targets. In this, many civilians including top Iranian military officials and nuclear scientists were killed. In response, Iran is carrying out retaliatory attacks on Israel. In this, the country’s infrastructure, including oil refineries and ports, has been destroyed. This counterattack has been going on for six consecutive days so far.
