Iranians cheer after Khamenei’s announcement: ‘No compromise with the United States’
The citizens of the country burst into cheers after Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei announced that ‘No compromise with the United States’. A huge showdown took place on the streets of Tehran with the Iranian national flag in hand.
On Wednesday (June 18) night, excited Iranians took to the streets of the capital Tehran and other places with a convoy of cars.
They circled the entire city riding motorcycles, pickup trucks or cars. The entire highway was filled with slogans of joy. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has announced that the war will continue without surrendering to any country. The Supreme Leader’s announcement has brought a wave of public opinion throughout Iran. It seems that Iranians have awakened to a new sense of nationalism.
Meanwhile, US Senator Bernie Sanders has commented that Washington should not engage in war with Iran. He said on social media that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is not the President of the United States. He should not determine US foreign and military policy.
