Israel attacks nuclear facility in Isfahan, massive explosion
Israel has claimed to have attacked Iran’s Isfahan nuclear facility. Early on Saturday (June 21), Israeli warplanes bombed the nuclear facility. The area was shaken by the sound of a massive explosion.
The Times of Israel reported on Saturday (June 21), citing Iranian officials, that no dangerous materials were leaked in the attack. The Israeli defense forces have not yet commented on the incident.
Iran’s Fars News Agency reported that Iran’s Isfahan nuclear facility has become an Israeli target. However, no dangerous material storage was damaged. Israel has previously attacked the nuclear facility during the current war.
Earlier, Al Jazeera reported, citing Fars News Agency, that an explosion was reported in the Iranian city of Isfahan.
The report said that the Israeli army launched a counterattack in the early hours of the morning after a ballistic missile attack on Israel overnight. The IDF said that the Isfahan nuclear facility was the target of the Israeli attack.
Meanwhile, Israel has killed the head of the aircraft and drone unit of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Israel also killed his predecessor about a week ago.
In a statement shared on social media, the Israeli army said that the slain commander was leading the planning and execution of hundreds of drone attacks against Israel.
According to a report by Al Jazeera, the Israeli army claimed that the new commander of the IRGC’s unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) unit has been killed.
