Iran missile strike causes massive power outage in Israel
Iran has launched a new Israeli missile and drone strike. This has caused a massive power outage in southern Israel. The country’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has confirmed the attack.
This information was reported by Al Jazeera on Monday (June 23).
Meanwhile, the Times of Israel reported that the Israel Electric Corporation confirmed the hit near a strategic infrastructure facility. It said that the Iranian attack has caused power outages in several cities in the area.
Teams are working in various locations to restore power supply as soon as possible. It is reported that the operation is being carried out to repair infrastructure and eliminate security risks. It is also said that this work is being done in coordination with security forces.
Sirens continued to sound for about 35 minutes during the attack, forcing citizens to stay in shelters for a long time. Israel’s Channel 13 reported that this is the longest time Israelis have spent in shelters since the start of the Iran-Israel conflict.
