2 people die of dengue, 392 identified

2 people have died of dengue in the country in the last 24 hours. During this time, 392 patients have been admitted to the hospital. The highest number is 126 in Barisal division.

This information was given in a special notification on dengue on Monday (June 23) afternoon.

The notification further said that two of the deaths in the last 24 hours were women. And 306 of the infected people are outside Dhaka.

This year, 34 people have died of dengue so far, of whom 17 are men and 17 are women.

A total of 8,150 people have been infected so far, of whom 4,808 are men and 3,341 are women.

The Department of Health said that a total of 575 people died of dengue last year (2024). That year, the total number of dengue infected people was 1,01,214 and 1,00,040 people returned home after recovering.
