Rizvi’s life also came to an end with a bike within a month of giving the status
A businessman named Rizvi Ahmed (24) was killed in a head-on collision between a tom-tom and a motorcycle in Pakundia, Kishoreganj. At that time, his cousin, a seventh-grade student, Anik, who was sitting behind the motorcycle, was seriously injured.
The accident occurred near Narandi Bazar on the Pulerghat-Hosendi road of the upazila around 8 pm on Monday (June 23).
The deceased Rizvi Ahmed is the son of Mukul Mia of Auliapara village of Patuabhanga union of the upazila. He used to trade in cloth in Pakundia Bazar. The seriously injured Anik is the cousin of the deceased Rizvi. He is a seventh-grade student of Patuabhanga High School. His father’s name is Idris Ali.
According to family and local sources, Rizvi was going home from Pulerghat on a motorcycle with his cousin Anik after evening. When he collided with a tom-tom loaded with trees near Narandi Bazar. The motorcycle fell on the side of the road. Locals rescued them and took them to the Pakundia Upazila Health Complex. The doctor working there declared Rizvi dead.
The seriously injured Anik has been sent to the Zahurul Islam Medical College Hospital in Bajitpur for advanced treatment. He is currently undergoing treatment there.
Pakundia Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shakhawat Hossain confirmed the incident and said that the tom-tom has been seized. However, its driver has fled. Legal action will be taken if a complaint is received in this regard.
On May 27, the deceased Rizvi Ahmed uploaded a picture of his motorcycle on his Facebook account. There, he wrote, ‘Let’s not go around in the unknown, where the bike has stopped.’ But who knew that his life would also stop with the bike!
