    The outgoing German Ambassador meets the Chief Advisor

    The German Ambassador to Bangladesh, Achim Troster, paid a farewell call on the Chief Advisor, Dr. Muhammad Yunus. The meeting took place at the State Guest House, Jamuna, on Wednesday (June 25). During the meeting, the Chief Advisor congratulated Ambassador Troster for successfully completing his duties. He also praised his contribution to the development of bilateral relations between the two countries.

    The Chief Advisor said that Germany has always been a reliable partner for us in the journey of development. As our largest trading partner in Europe, Germany’s role is very important. The country has been consistently providing assistance to the development of Bangladesh. At this time, he expressed gratitude for Germany’s humanitarian assistance to the Rohingya.

    The Chief Advisor told Troster that even after leaving, we would like to get your opinion. Be it positive or critical.

    Ambassador Troster said that I have worked in many important places in my professional life, but Bangladesh is really different. I have been impressed by the hospitality of the people here. The Investment Summit was a good initiative. I wish the interim government success in the reform process. He also hoped that a free and fair election would be held in Bangladesh during this time. SDG Coordinator and Senior Secretary Lamia Morshed and Director General of the Western Europe and European Union Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Md. Mosharraf Hossain were present at the time.
