Elections should be held after necessary reforms: Islami Andolan

Islami Andolan Bangladesh Secretary General Principal Hafez Maulana Yunus Ahmed has commented that the elections should be held after necessary reforms are completed, no matter what day they are held. He made this demand at a press conference organized at the party’s central office in Purno Paltan on Thursday (June 26) afternoon. He also expressed his fear that fascist forces will return if there is no fair election.

At that time, speakers complained that there were obstacles in the campaign work in different parts of the country surrounding the upcoming national convention. Therefore, they called for coming out of the politics of revenge. The national convention of Islami Andolan Bangladesh will be organized at Suhrawardy Udyan on June 28.

Hafez Maulana Yunus Ahmed said, we believe that after the revolution, the government has to take the responsibility of judging tyranny. No matter how big the criminal is or how heavy his sins are, he must be judged through the law and the existing norms and principles must be strictly followed in applying the law. The news of the collapse of the dictatorship and the safe movement of criminals has created anger in the public mind. Elections should be held after completing the necessary reforms. Fascists have been created in the past elections. Therefore, elections should be held after completing the necessary reforms.
