NCP announces program to mark July Uprising anniversary

The National Citizens Party (NCP) has announced a program to mark the July Uprising anniversary. NCP convener Nahid Islam announced the program at a press conference at Bangla Motor in the capital on Sunday (June 29).

He said, “The march will start on July 1 at the initiative of the NCP. It will be held in 64 districts in phases. In addition, we will go door to door of martyrs, go to all classes of people, talk, listen. The march will continue from July 1 to July 30. Abu Sayeed was martyred on July 16. We will observe Martyr’s Day against Discrimination on this day. And on August 3, the declaration will be read and August 5, the student-public liberation day will be celebrated.”

At this time, Nahid Islam also said, There must be a roadmap for the trial of the July genocide. It must be ensured in how many days the trial will be completed. Even if the government does not do it, we will read the July declaration along with the people. “The July declaration was supposed to be prepared by December 31, but it didn’t happen. So we will do it now. It is our responsibility,” added the NCP convener.
