Headmaster tied to a pole in Chittagong

A high school headmaster named Abdur Rahman was allegedly tied up and beaten in public in Satkania, Chittagong over a land dispute. Recently, a video of the incident went viral on social media, creating intense anger in the area. The victim, Abdur Rahman, is the headmaster of Bhagyakul Kadukhola High School in Sualok Union of Bandarban Sadar Upazila. He is a resident of Buchir Para, Ward No. 3 of Keochia Union of Satkania Upazila.

Abdur Rahman said that the incident happened last Friday (June 27) afternoon. He had a dispute with local Shamsul Islam over land. On the day of the incident, Shamsul called him for a discussion. Later, they wanted to get his signature on a white stamp. When he did not agree, Shamsul’s people publicly harassed him. He also said that a complaint has already been filed with the police station in this regard.
