Two trains collide in Lalmonirhat, two bogies derail

Two trains collided in Lalmonirhat. Two coaches derailed. Several people were injured. However, their condition is not reported to be very serious. The accident occurred in the BDR Gate area of the city on Monday (July 28) afternoon. Railway sources said that the Lalmoni Express was going to the wash pit after dropping off passengers. A commuter train from Burimari to Parbatipur was coming from behind. When the two trains reached the BDR Gate area, the collision occurred. As a result, two coaches of the Lalmoni Express derailed. As there were no passengers in that train, there were no major casualties. However, some passengers of the commuter train were reported to be injured.
