1 killed after truck hits back of another truck in Natore

One person was killed after a moving truck hit back of another truck in Gurudaspur, Natore. The accident occurred at around 6:30 am on Tuesday (July 29) in the Kachikata toll plaza area of the Banpara-Hatikumrul highway. The deceased was identified as Abu Sayeed (32), son of Enamul Haque of Uttar Balia village under Kashiadanga police station in Rajshahi. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Banpara Highway Police Station Ismail Hossain said that a Rajshahi-bound truck was parked in front of the toll plaza. At that time, a speeding truck came from behind and hit the parked truck. Abu Sayeed, the helper of the truck behind, was killed on the spot. Truck driver Nasim Uddin was seriously injured in the incident. On receiving information, members of the Highway Police and Fire Service recovered the body and sent the injured driver to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital. He also said that legal action is underway in this regard.
