1 arrested with weapons and ammunition in front of HSC examination center
A shooting incident occurred in front of the HSC examination center in Munshiganj Sadar, violating Section 144 over a trivial incident. At that time, a person named Sabbir Hossain Dipu (30) was arrested with weapons by the police members present.
The incident took place in front of the Rampal College center in Sadar upazila at around 1 pm today (June 29). Hatimara Police Investigation Center In-charge Md. Abu Bakkar Siddique confirmed the matter. The arrested Dipu is the son of Abul Kalam of Betka area of Tongibari upazila. However, it is known that he is currently a resident of Futulla area of Narayaganj.
Md. Abu Bakkar Siddique said that in the afternoon, during the final stage of the examination, an auto-rickshaw collided with a private car on the road in front of Rampal College. At that time, two people, including Dipu, who were riding in the private car, got out of the car and got into an argument with the auto-rickshaw driver. At one stage, when the police members present at the center went to arrest Dipu, the accused Dipu pulled out a weapon and opened fire. At that time, the police and the students present detained him. The police officer also said that legal action is being taken in this regard.
