11 Bangladeshis arrested in India
The country’s security forces have arrested 11 Bangladeshi nationals from two Indian states on charges of infiltration. This information is known from the news of Indian media The Hindu and India Today.
According to The Hindu, six Bangladeshi citizens have been arrested from Tiruppur district of Tamil Nadu state yesterday. Local police and Rapid Action Force arrested them from a bus stand in the city. Verify NID card and other documents. They identified six of the arrested as Bangladeshis.
The detainees were taken to Mudhalipalayam in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu with the lure of offering them jobs in a knitwear factory, The Hindu reported. All six people arrested are residents of Narayanganj, Bangladesh. They are Dhanbir (39), Rashib Gaboon (43), Mohammad Aslam (41), Mohammad Al Islam (37), Mohammad Ragul Amin (30) and Shavumun Sheikh (38).
On the other hand, India Today reports that the police have arrested five Bangladeshis from Palghar district in Maharashtra. The anti-trafficking cell conducted an operation on September 22 yesterday after receiving information.
Arshad Rahmatullah Gazi (52), Ali Mohammad Dinmohammed Mandal (56), Miraj Saheb Mandal (19), Sajad Qadir Mandal (45) and Saheb Panchanan Sardar (45) were arrested. None of them had valid papers to stay in India, police said.
