3 members of the same family hacked to death in Comilla

Three members of the same family were allegedly beaten and hacked to death in Muradnagar, Comilla. The incident took place in Karibari village of Akibpur union of the upazila on Thursday (July 3) morning. The house was also vandalized at the time.

The deceased are: Roksana Akhter Ruby (54), wife of Jewel Mia of the same village, her son Russell Mia (28) and daughter Jonaki Akhter (22). The officer-in-charge (OC) of Muradnagar police station in Comilla, Zahidur Rahman, confirmed the matter. He said that after receiving the information, police were sent to the spot. The bodies will be recovered and sent to the morgue for autopsy. However, the reason for who killed them and why was not immediately known.
