In the morning, 3 people died in motorcycle crash
Three motorcycle riders were died in a truck crash in Sadar Upazila of Satkhira. The accident took place in Bisik area of Binerpota on Thursday morning.
The deceased are – Arijul Gazi (28) son of Akbar Ali Gazi of Jhikargacha upazila of Jessore, Asadul Islam Fakir (55) son of Shamsur Kabir of Satkhira Tala upazila and Abdus Salim (35) son of Abdul Aziz of Sujan Shah village of Tala police station of Satkhira district.
Sub-Inspector (SI) of Satkhira Police Station Biswajit Sarkar said that as the logo of the truck company Eicher Motors was left at the spot, it is assumed that the incident took place in a truck-motorcycle collision.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Satkhira Sadar Police Station. Shamimul Islam confirmed the matter and said that three motorcyclists were killed on the spot in Bisik area of Sadar upazila on the Satkhira-Khulna highway. The fire service personnel recovered the body and took it to Sadar Hospital morgue.
The OC also said that the bodies will be handed over to the relatives after the post-mortem.
