4 arrested by BGB while entering India
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has arrested 4 people at the Jibannagar border in Chuadanga while entering India illegally. They were arrested from the Benipur border of the upazila early on Saturday (May 31).
The arrested are – Sourav Gudia (19), son of Subrata Gudia of Kashipur Chalna village in Narail district, Arpita Biswas (20), daughter of Ajay Biswas of Hachla village in the same district, Sulta Biswas (58), daughter of Kangali Biswas, and Vishnupada Biswas (68), son of Panchanan Biswas.
According to police sources, the arrested were trying to enter India illegally through brokers without passports at 5:30 am on Saturday. At that time, BGB members of Benipur BOP under Maheshpur-58 Battalion arrested them from the border. They were handed over to the Jibannagar police station.
