639 killed, 1,320 injured in Israeli attacks in Iran

So far, 639 people have been killed in Israel’s ongoing Operation Rising Lion in Iran. More than 1,320 people have been injured. The Washington-based human rights organization Human Rights Activists released this information on Wednesday (June 18).

Qatar-based media outlet Al Jazeera confirmed this information in a report today (June 19).

The human rights organization said that 263 civilians and 154 security forces members were among the dead. The identities of the rest could not be confirmed.

The organization said that the number of casualties has been verified through information from local Iranian media and its own network.

It is worth noting that Iran is not regularly releasing updated information on casualties in the ongoing conflict with Israel for 7 days. They last reported 224 deaths and 1,277 injuries.

On the other hand, the US-based media outlet The Wall Street Journal reported that US President Donald Trump has given in-principle approval to plans for a possible military attack on Iran. Although he has not given any final orders yet.

The media report said that Trump told his senior advisers that he has finally authorized military action to stop Iran’s nuclear program. However, Tehran may take some time to see if a last-minute compromise is reached.

It is worth noting that among the possible US targets is Iran’s Fordow uranium enrichment center. It is located deep in the mountains and, according to military analysts, only the most powerful bomb can destroy this facility.
