A conspiracy to postpone the elections is underway: Mirza Fakhrul

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has commented that a well-planned conspiracy is underway to postpone the elections in the country.

He said this while virtually joining a press conference at the party chairperson’s office in Gulshan, the capital, on Tuesday.

Mirza Fakhrul said that an attempt is being made to take Bangladesh in a different direction. When there is a possibility of transitioning to democracy, a black shadow is looming. A well-planned attempt to deprive the people of their right to vote has begun during the elections.

The BNP Secretary General said that the politics of division has started again. An attempt is being made to create division among tribes. Some infiltration is being made within the government to destabilize the country. A conspiracy has started to pit various government institutions against each other.

He also said that we must be vigilant and stand firm to counter all conspiracies. We must also be vigilant about the conspiracies that are going on from across the border. No one should be able to destroy the country’s independence and sovereignty.
