Abu Sayeed murder case hearing today

The hearing of the charge sheet against 30 accused in the murder case of Abu Sayeed, the first martyr of the July mass uprising, is today. The prosecution says that they will apply to start the trial of all the accused. A total of 6 people, including the four accused arrested in the case, former Berobi proctor Shariful Islam, former assistant sub-inspector of police Amir Hossain, constable Sujan Chandra Roy and Chhatra League leader Imran Chowdhury, have been presented before the tribunal. Earlier, the prosecution filed a formal complaint on June 30. That day, the charges brought against the 30 accused were taken into account by the Tribunal-2. On July 22, the International Crimes Tribunal-2 declared 24 people, including the former VC of Rangpur’s Begum Rokeya University-Berobi and the former Rangpur Police Commissioner, as absconders. Meanwhile, 8 people have been presented before the tribunal in the case of burning 6 bodies in Ashulia and 3 people in a case in Lakshmipur.
