    Abu Sayeed murder: Order to complete investigation within a month

    The International Crimes Tribunal has ordered to complete the investigation into the case of crimes against humanity in the killing of Abu Sayeed, a student of Begum Rokeya University in Rangpur during the July uprising, within a month. The investigation report of the case has been asked to be submitted to the court on July 14.

    The tribunal headed by International Crimes Tribunal Chairman Justice Md. Golam Mortuza Majumder gave the order on Sunday (June 15). Prosecutor SM Mainul Karim heard the case for the prosecution in the court.

    Earlier, four accused were presented before the tribunal in the case of crimes against humanity in the killing of Abu Sayeed. They are former ASI Amir Hossain, constable Sujan Chandra Roy, Begum Rokeya University proctor Shariful Islam, and Chhatra League leader Imran Chowdhury Akash.

    Meanwhile, the tribunal has given two months to submit the investigation report by August 17 in the case of the shooting death of college student Hridoy near Konabari police station in Gazipur during the July mass uprising and the murder case of Jatrabari police station.
