Army will not get involved in sensitive issues like corridor

The Bangladesh Army has promised to ensure border security with all its might.

A briefing held at the army headquarters on Monday (May 26) said that the army will not make any concessions on border security. The Bangladesh-Myanmar corridor is a sensitive issue. The army will not be involved in any activity that disrupts security.

It was also stated at that time that the army has no direct contact with the Arakan Army.

The briefing on the border situation said that as long as we have strength on the border, we will work. The ARSA force is patrolling with weapons. This is a matter of concern. The border situation is now quite sensitive, we are alert.

The banned terrorist organization Kuki Chin National Front (KNF), also known as the Bomb Party, is active in the Chittagong Hill Tracts. Regarding the recovery of clothes of members of this organization, it was informed in the briefing that 30,000 clothes of Kuki Chin (KNF) have been found, this came from social media; this is objective. We have taken note of the matter. We are working to find out. There are 12,000 people from the BOM community. So we are trying to find out whether these 30,000 clothes belong to this organization.

It was said in the briefing that push-ins at the border are not desirable in any way, there is no reason to think that we will sit still. The BGB is controlling this situation. If we need help, the army will go there.
