Asif got his arms license by following the legal process: Home Affairs Advisor

Home Affairs Advisor, retired Lieutenant General Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, said that the law enforcement agencies are taking a strict stand to ensure that incidents like those in Muradnagar, Comilla do not happen again in the country. He also said that the accused are being arrested quickly in such incidents.

He said these things in response to questions from journalists at a program at the Rice Research Institute in Agargaon in the capital on Wednesday (July 2) afternoon. The Home Affairs Advisor said that Local Government Advisor Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan got his arms license by following the proper legal process. However, he again mentioned that the incident of carrying a weapon magazine was a mistake. He also said that the country is producing enough rice, but the price is high. Some people are doing such things for their own profit, which is causing harm to the common people.
