‘Asif Mahmud made controversial comments to hide responsibility for violating the constitution’

BNP leader Ishraq Hossain has alleged that advisor Asif Mahmud made controversial comments to hide responsibility for violating the constitution without taking the oath. He also called on Asif Mahmud to apologize for the statement he made on Jamuna Television.Ishraq Hossain made this allegation at a press conference at the National Press Club on Wednesday (June 25).

Ishraq Hossain said that if any retaliatory action is taken against the officials and employees who participated in the movement, a strict movement will be launched again. Which will spread beyond the boundaries of the city hall and onto the streets. However, Ishraq Hossain did not use the word “honorable mayor” in the banner of this press conference. He said that the word “honorable” does not have much significance. It was used out of respect then.

Incidentally, in an interview given to Jamuna Television, the local government advisor said, I think Ishraq Hossain has been misunderstood. There is sufficient evidence for this. A BNP leader from my upazila personally persuaded Ishraq Hossain. Moreover, he was used as the distance between BNP and a section of BNP created a gap in understanding. Asif Mahmud also said that the government’s position is in favor of not validating any election. In this case, an alternative proposal was put forward. It was proposed to make Ishraq Hossain the administrator of the South City Corporation. This proposal was then rejected.
