BNP cannot be put into trouble by pressure: Fakhrul
Reminding that BNP is not dependent on any country, the party’s Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said – no matter how hard anyone tries, BNP cannot be put into trouble by pressure. On Monday (July 28) morning, he attended the inaugural ceremony of Jubo Dal’s graffiti painting in 6 important areas of Dhaka city on the occasion of the anniversary of the July Uprising, mourning and victory. He said that 79 leaders and activists of Jubo Dal alone were killed in the July Uprising. Mirza Fakhrul also said that this movement was not of a few individuals; it was of people of all ages. BNP Secretary General criticized the government’s role in the trial of Sheikh Hasina, saying that BNP is cooperating in reforms. Mirza Fakhrul expressed his anger over the arrest of five leaders of the anti-discrimination movement on charges of extortion. He said – Despite hundreds of persecutions by the DB office, no BNP leader or activist surrendered, nor did they give a bond to anyone at that time.
