BNP leader dies while performing Hajj
A Bangladeshi named Zahidul Islam (60) has died while performing Hajj in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. The deceased’s son Al Amin confirmed the matter on Monday (June 2) morning.
The deceased Zahidul Islam was a resident of Kazipara area of Saidpur town in Nilphamari. He was the president of ward no. 10 of the municipal BNP.
The deceased Zahidul Islam’s son Al Amin said, “My parents went to Saudi Arabia to perform the holy Hajj. Yesterday, Sunday, after offering Maghrib prayers at a mosque in Mecca, he was staying in that mosque for Isha prayers. Later, while preparing to offer Isha prayers, he died of a heart attack there.
Al Amin also said that his father’s funeral prayer was held after Zohr prayers in Mecca, Saudi Arabia on Monday. He was later buried there. Everyone will forgive my father and pray for him, so that Allah Almighty accepts his Hajj and accepts him as a guest of Paradise.
