Bus falls into river in India, 3 dead, 9 missing

Three people have died after a passenger bus fell into a river in Uttarakhand, India. At least 9 more are missing in this incident. The incident took place in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand, Indian media NDTV reported.

The accident took place on Thursday (June 26) morning local time. The bus suddenly lost control when it reached Badrinath Highway in Rudraprayag district. At one stage, it fell into the river. At that time, there were 18 passengers in the bus.

Members of the rescue team quickly reached the scene after receiving the news of the accident. Rescue operations are still underway. Eight people have been rescued alive as of the last report. However, the cause of the accident is not known yet.
