Chief Advisor leaves for Dhaka after 4-day Japan visit
Chief Advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus has left for Dhaka from Japan after a 4-day state visit. He left for the country on Saturday (May 31) at around 11:20 am local time in Japan.
During this visit, the Chief Advisor participated in the Nikkei Forum’s ‘Future of Asia’ conference held in Tokyo. He also participated in a bilateral meeting between Dr. Muhammad Yunus and the country’s Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba. In this, the two heads of government discussed issues related to mutual interests.
In addition, Bangladesh and Japan have signed six memorandums of understanding on economic, investment and other cooperation.
Earlier, Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus arrived in Japan on a four-day state visit last Wednesday. The flight carrying the Chief Advisor left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at around 2:10 am on Tuesday (May 27).
