Cinema hall roof collapses in Argentina while movie is playing

An incredible accident occurred during a movie screening at the Cinema Ocho in La Plata, Argentina—the cinema hall roof collapsed on the heads of the audience while they were watching the movie ‘Final Destination: Bloodlines’! British media outlet The Independent reported this information in a report.

The incident occurred at 9pm local time on Monday (May 19) during a movie screening at the Cinema Ocho. A large part of the roof collapsed on 29-year-old Fiamma Villaverde, who was watching the movie with her 11-year-old daughter and a friend.

Fiamma Villaverde said, ‘At first we thought it was part of the movie, but then a big piece fell on me!’

The rubble hit her shoulder, back, knee and ankle. She survived with a minor head injury. Doctors on duty at the hospital identified black marks on her body.

Fiamma is currently undergoing psychiatric treatment after sustaining the injury and is afraid to go to crowded places. She plans to file a complaint against the cinema hall, as the doctor on duty has banned her from working for a few days due to her injury.

A video of the roof collapse has already gone viral on social media. The video shows pieces of the roof strewn across the floor of the cinema hall. There was also panic among the audience at the time, although no major casualties were reported.

No official statement has been made by the cinema hall authorities yet. It is worth noting that the ‘Final Destination’ movie series is well known for its dramatic scenes of unexpected deaths, where characters die in accidents. The audience is shocked that such accidents can happen in real life in cinema halls.
