    Districts with a wind speed of 60 kmph expected by 1 am

    The Meteorological Office is expecting thunderstorms with a maximum speed of 60 kmph over seven districts of the country. This was announced in a warning issued for the country’s inland river ports till 1 am on Monday (June 30). It said that temporary gusty or squally winds of 45 to 60 kmph may blow from the south or southeast over Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong and Cox’s Bazar districts. Along with this, rain or thundershowers may occur.

    Therefore, river ports in these areas have been asked to display warning signal number 1. Meanwhile, according to another notification from the Meteorological Office, temporary gusty winds with lightning and light to moderate rain or thundershowers are predicted in all divisions of the country. Along with this, there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rain in some places in Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions. In addition, there may be rain with thunder throughout the country throughout the week.
