Eid journey: Train tickets for June 5 available today
Bangladesh Railway has started selling advance train tickets for the holy Eid-ul-Azha on June 7. The sale of train seat tickets for the sixth day (June 5) of this journey of people returning home on the occasion of Eid is starting today. For the convenience of passengers, 100% of the seat tickets will be sold online.
On Monday (May 26), the sale of seat tickets for trains running in the western region of Bangladesh Railway started at 8 am and the sale of seat tickets for trains running in the eastern region will start at 2 pm.
This time, the total number of seats in intercity trains going from Dhaka to various destinations in the country is 33,315. This information is known from the work plan taken by the railway on the occasion of Eid.
According to the work plan, the seats for intercity trains for May 31 were sold on May 21, June 1 seats were sold on May 22, June 2 seats were sold on May 23, June 3 seats were sold on May 24, June 5 seats will be sold on May 26 and June 6 seats will be sold on May 27.
According to the decision of the Railways, the tickets for the 7-day train seats before Eid will be sold in advance under a special arrangement. The tickets purchased at this time will not be returned to the Railways. Each ticket aspirant can collect 4 seat tickets at once.
