Elections not possible without government’s cooperation: CEC
No matter how independent the EC is, elections are not possible without the government’s cooperation, said Chief Election Commissioner AMM Nasir Uddin.
He said this in response to questions from journalists after the inauguration of a training program on election laws and rules at the Election Training Institute on Saturday (June 21) morning.
The CEC said that when the time comes, the election issues will be discussed with the government. Elections are not possible without the government.
Stating that the commission is in touch with the government, the CEC said that the government will have an important role in organizing the elections. The commission has an action plan to take the election work forward. The action plan will be changed if necessary.
