Extortion in cattle and goat transport at Qorbani market, 4 arrested
The army has arrested four people for extorting extortion from cattle and goat transport drivers in Ghoraghat, Dinajpur. They were handed over to Ghoraghat police station from the Raniganj Qorbani cattle and goat market in the upazila around 6 pm on Monday.
The arrested are Mamunur Rashid (50), Dudumiya (55), Abdul Hakim (57), and Azahar Ali (54) of Bhatsala village of Nurpur area of the upazila.
Captain Marjiul Haque Safin of Ghoraghat army camp said, they had been illegally extorting extortion from cattle and goat transport drivers day after day by talking about the organization. This operation was conducted as part of our regular activities. This surveillance has been increased with Eid in focus.
