Government wants to prepare July declaration before August 5: Press Secretary
The press secretary of the chief advisor, Shafiqul Alam, said that the government wants to prepare the declaration before the first anniversary of the mass uprising. We are working towards this goal.
Shafiqul Alam said that a committee headed by Planning Advisor Wahiduddin Mahmud has been formed to issue the July declaration before August 5. A few more advisors will be in this committee. The committee will talk to political parties and other July stakeholders.
He also said that the report of the Reform Commission has revealed that earlier media licenses were given to support a party. The process of giving those licenses will be investigated. In addition, the policy of giving licenses in the future was discussed in today’s meeting. A committee headed by Education Advisor CR Abrar has been formed regarding the autonomy of Bangladesh Television (BTV) and Betar.
