    Head-on collision between bus and covered van in Cox’s Bazar, 3 dead

    Staff Correspondent, Cox’s Bazar: Three people, including a father and son, were killed in a head-on collision between a bus and a covered van in Ramu, Cox’s Bazar.

    The accident occurred at around 8 am on Monday (June 16) in the Jetty Road area of ​​Rashidnagar Union on the Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar highway.

    A passenger bus of Purabi Paribahan, bound for Chittagong from Cox’s Bazar, and a covered van, bound for Cox’s Bazar, collided head-on.

    The deceased are Habib Ullah (55) and his son Shishu Riyad, both from PMkhali Dakshin Patli area of ​​Sadar Upazila. The other is Rimjim Barua (23), daughter of Himansu Barua, from Ramu’s Purba Rajarkul area.

    Ramu Police Station OC Taibur Rahman confirmed the matter. Quoting locals, he said that the incident took place in a head-on collision between a Purabi bus, bound for Chittagong, and a covered van, bound for Cox’s Bazar. The bus overturned and fell into a paddy field. The injured in the accident have been admitted to the hospital.
