    Helicopter crashes in India, 7 killed

    A passenger helicopter crashed in Uttarakhand, India, killing seven people, including the pilot. The accident occurred at around 5:20 am local time on Sunday (June 15). The country’s media NDTV and Times of India reported this information in a report.

    The report said that the helicopter was going from the Kedarnath temple to Guptkashi. The Arya Aviation helicopter crashed in the area between Gaurikund and Sonprayag 10 minutes after the start of the journey.

    Meanwhile, teams from the National Disaster Response Force and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) have reached the accident site.

    The Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority said in a statement that out of the seven passengers in the helicopter, five adults, one child and one pilot were residents of Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Gujarat.
