Houthi launches another missile attack on Israel from Yemen

Yemen has launched another missile attack on Israel. A missile attack was launched on Israel on Thursday (May 22) local time. The Israeli military said it was able to intercept a missile launched from Yemen before it could hit central Israel early this morning. Air raid sirens sounded when the missile hit.

In Israel, this is believed to be the latest missile attack by Yemeni Houthi fighters. However, the military did not provide detailed information about the attack. They said that a warning was issued in accordance with airstrike policy. However, no damage or casualties have been reported so far.

This is the fourth time that Yemen has launched missile attacks on Israel this month. A missile was intercepted on Monday and another was intercepted by the Israeli military on Thursday. On May 4, a missile fired from Yemen exploded near Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport outside Tel Aviv, injuring several people and temporarily halting flights. Several major airlines canceled flights to the airport. Yemen’s Houthi rebels have continued to fire missiles at Israel in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza. However, they have recently agreed to a ceasefire with the United States to stop attacks on ships in the Red Sea.
